Black Lives Matter

What we’re doing to support the efforts of racial equality

4-CT was created to help Connecticut address and recover from the devastating impact of the COVID-19 virus. At 4-CT our work is to raise funds and deliver relief to those disproportionately affected by COVID-19. There can be neither justice nor dignity without having enough food to eat, safe shelter and other basic needs met.

Project Highlight: The 4-CT Card

Supporting Connecticut's most vulnerable, COVID-19 impacted communities by providing them with direct, one-time payments. This program will engage trusted community-based organizations, who will provide eligible recipients with pre-paid debit cards to help pay for expenses like food and clothing. 4-CT has partnered with community health centers to distribute this assistance, creating an additional benefit where individuals receiving the prepaid cards can be offered health services (including COVID testing) they might otherwise not receive.

From our Governor

"During this unprecedented public health crisis, we have seen incredible courage and acts of generosity by countless members of our community. 4-CT is a never –before –seen coordinated effort to link philanthropists, donors, and community foundations to the needs of our residents, as we all work together to get through this COVID-19 pandemic. We will get through this together, and 4-CT will act as a vital tool to help provide much needed outside investment to keep our programs and services stable during this tenuous time."
