Jendayi Scott-Miller became known as the Angel of Edgewood when she started cooking and delivering free meals to elderly community members throughout Hartford at the start of the pandemic. In 2021, Jendayi was selected as one of Disney’s Magic Makers, a program that recognizes and rewards local heroes who make magic by bringing comfort, support and joy to their communities. 4-CT funds were part of an effort that allowed Jendayi to develop this inspiring project from her home kitchen into an entire non-profit movement called Angel of Edgewood with a commercial kitchen and community cafe opening in Spring of 2022.
