The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) works with community-based organizations to establish financial opportunity centers that focus on empowering low income residents as well as black and brown CT residents to achieve their financial goals. To support Connecticut residents struggling with financial insecurity and to prepare for a substantial decrease in state and federal government economic support, 4-CT is partnering with LISC to open eight financial opportunity centers that offer clients financial coaching, employment assistance, and benefits assistance in order to help participants get on better financial footing in a long-term sustainable way. These centers will help Connecticut residents find new jobs or better jobs, increase their net income, and improve their credit scores.
