No one in Connecticut should have to worry about their next meal. Since 2011, Food Rescue has worked to get food into the hands of those that need it most through a network of 200+ social service agency partners. As the food insecurity crisis continues to grow, Food Rescue has established a COVID-19 meal preparation and delivery system to get meals to the most vulnerable of the food insecure population.
Social and Equity Impact of 4-CT Grant:
29% of social service agencies served by Food Rescue do not receive food through either Foodshare or Food Bank. As of June 26, Food Rescue has:
● distributed 5,100 meals overall
● supplied food to 27 food providers
● supplied food to 43 social service providers
Geographic distribution of meal provision: Fairfield County (59%), West Hartford (16%), New Haven (17%), Northwest CT (8%).
4-CT is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit.
100% of your contribution will go towards our 4-CT Card Program.
