Essential Worker Assistance Program
A direct cash assistance program aimed to help low income essential workers who had worked throughout the duration of COVID-19.
4-CT partnered with faith based organizations in three large Connecticut cities to identify 26 low-income Essential Workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In recognition, of the toll of the duration of the pandemic, we provided 3 months of cash assistance through the 4-CT card which was our first foray into ongoing support models. We found that card recipients were very thankful for the recurring support and successfully spent the funds on food, cash, and clothing.
September – November 2020.
– 26 cards and $23,400 distributed
– 74 people served in 15 zip codes
