Emergency Assistance Program

A state-wide cash assistance program serving CT residents facing one-time, immediate emergencies.

The program was open to low-income Connecticut residents of any documentation status experiencing emergency situations in the areas of housing, utilities, healthcare and food insecurity. The goal of the program is to provide rapid, one-time financial assistance,  in conjunction with longer term support provided by our partner organizations, to stabilize families on the verge of falling into a long term crisis.

January 2021 – December 2021
– Over 2,500 cards and $1,700,000 distributed
– Over 7,100 people served in 138 zip codes
